Please don't flame me for posting this video. I don't watch Pretty Cure, never did anyway. Just that I was looking through the Animelo 2009 in search of these videos: Not my favourite performance for this song, preferred the Live Diamond version more. From my dearth of music knowledge, let's just say that this version lacked the "power". (Not sure if I used the word dearth correctly, but I'll just leave it as that.) Feel the adrenaline coursing through. Feel the winter breath upon your face. Drink it all in; bitter medicine. Look up; look forward; look far - keep your gaze transfixed. This world shall smile upon you. Come now. Let us now cross the River Styx. --- Okay enough of my rant. Delain is kind of cool. Thanks to Tiet Ho for introducing this to me. Though I've got to say that it kind of hit me as an apprentice to Within Temptation. Was looking through End of an Era. I still kind of think that there is just this special chemistry between Tarja and Marco. Scary Eyes as usual Tried to look further into Japanese music. Oh, I was quite surprised that Paradise Lost was the OP for Ga-Rei 0, since I never watched the anime and started with the manga first. That hints something. Finished Negima! (not !?). She left today.
USA. It has been 19 years already. Today was the day. I remember, I used to shout at her for waking me up in the morning, for always preparing that ginseng mixture which she always encouraged me to drink. When I was young, she was very protective, albeit too much, which could be the reason for me being so screwed up now. It's look losing another family member. From young, every picture included her. She used to tell my sister, she would only go back home when my sister started on her university. I knew that was impossible. She was close to the family, sometimes recounting dreams she had about my grandparents to me. She learnt how to cook, wash, speak Chinese and a smattering of Hokkien from them after all. I hardened myself for tis day to come. I would just like to recount, to keep those memories in tact. Whenever she woke me up, I would give her a black face, but she only mumbled to herself when I was out of sight. Whenever she cooked for me and I couldn't finish the food, she would scold me for wasting the food, telling me how some people in Africa probably couldn't afford food. Whenever I came back home, she would always ask me if there was anything to wash. Whenever she wanted to go out to buy stuff, she would always tell me for some reason. Whenever she wanted her handphone ringtone to be changed, she would always come to me. I remember, I had a dream where she had to leave. I woke up crying. When I was young, she used to bath me, I was young after all. She used to tickle me, and always said that I was much cuter when I was young. When I was lazing around, she would always come up to me, saying how I used to be so small, and how I am now a head taller than her. She would always ask me if the blood stain on the pillow was caused by my "bleeding nose". She would always mumble to herself whenever pissed, and when she saw me she would always walk away. I would only stare weirdly. She would always be the one to bring up drinks, always giving me coffee for some reason. I used to go to her room at night whenever I couldn't sleep. I remembered asking her to help prepare my uniform when I was in Sec 1, she always did it to allow me to get o mistakes. She was like an older sister, not the best person, not the worst person. Someone ordinarily mundane, yet extraordinarily special. To me. I can't really think of much now, now that the beads are making a tap dance. It was the start of a story when she came to Singapore. Now its the end. I hope her next story would be as eventful. As much as I can remember, she made me who I am today. I am grateful. Thanks. Thursday, March 11, 2010

You know the feeling when it comes. So I didn't do really well for this term, mainly due to a certain subject. Though I shall not state which subject that is. Hmm. Waiting for something pains me. Run, Jog, Walk, Run
It's unhealthy, but it's a habit.
Received very good news regarding NCC today. I am very pleased with the things to come. Really pleased. Examinations are finally over, though the last 4 tests are kind of difficult, enough for me to cry. They say that effort pays off, but do we always experience this? Does effort really pay off? It doesn't, its the reassurance that we have done our best that pays off. Once you've completed the test, try to move on. Persuade yourself to look forward and carry on. Only then would effort pay off. Moving on. I want to share a story, a short simple story. There was a child. He scored 37/50 for his comprehension. He checked the marks, and realised the correct score should have been 38/50. He asked the teacher for it. The teacher refused to give the score. The end. I am not sure if you would understand this story. It only pertains to a select few anyway. It cannot be everytime whereby people will play by the rules. Monday, March 1, 2010
